February Hearts
Wednesday, February 10, 2021 by Joan Munro

Having an emotional heart brings heartbreak and happiness. It means protecting your heart yet opening your heart! How can you do both things at once, or do you just stay “neutral” or “at a distance” to avoid any potential hurt?  As a Certified Professional Life Coach, people I support struggle with loving others, but more so truly loving themselves.

February is considered the month of “Hearts or Love”....but what about our hearts? What is your love foundation, to love yourself and others?  What about God’s love?  What if we don’t feel His love or His presence in our hearts?

Take HEART: be encouraged in what the Bible says about God’s Loving Heart, and ponder them personally.     Old Testament Scriptures

Psalm 31:16 “Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing Love.”

Psalm 100:5  “For the LORD is good and his Love endures forever; His faithfulness   continues through all generations.”

Psalm 118: 29  “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His Love endures forever.”

Psalm 34: 18  “ But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love.

Psalm 33:22  “May your unfailing Love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in  you.”

Psalm  94:18  “When my foot is slipping, your Love, O LORD, supported me.”

New Testament Scriptures:

I John 3:1a  “How great is the Love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be  called the children of God!”

Romans 5:5  “And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His Love  into our hearts by the Holy                            Spirit, whom He has given us.”

Galatians 3:20 b “The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who Loved me and gave Himself for                                    me.”

Revelation 5:5 b “To Him who Loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood,”

Romans 8:38 ‘For I am convinced that neigther death, nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the Love of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I John 4: 9-10 “This is how God showed his Love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.  This is Love; not that we loved God but that He loved us, and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

John 3:16  “For God so Loved the world, that He gave His Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not die, but have everlasting life.”

Take assurance that with God, you are Loved, just as you are. There are no conditions or regulations on God’s Love, so embrace the gift of His Love. Take time to focus on God’s Love, and His Heart of Love for you  Be open to His Love, and celebrate the Heart of God, no matter what month or day it is. God’s Love is all the time!
