Did you know there are 5 models of according to experts of Decision Making? The decision-making models and process can be researched further at https://www.range.co/blog/decision-making-models. But then, there’s more decisions to make.
Spring is a pivotal season for people, with religious and secular holidays to celebrate, a shift in climate, emerging plant life, and increased hours of daylight. These changes impact your mood, mindset, focus, as well as your decision-making.
As a Certified Professional LIfe Coach and Group Mastery Coach, I’ve found that adults need to give themselves grace when making decisions, even the smaller ones. What do I mean by that? Check out these 4 strategies:
1) Give yourself time even when the “pressure is on “internally or externally. If timelines or deadlines are involved in the decision-making, include designated times just to think, feel, research, journal, converse. Allow time for the process.
2) Set up/Keep an “open file, folder, or document” to place notes, ideas, notes, information, contacts or anything related to your decision making process. It may be an essential resource and way to collect useful data, including pros and cons.
3) Consider seasonal impact on your brain functioning. Allergies, medication changes, dietary shifts, lifestyle or situational adjustments, work related tasks, are taken into consideration in decision-making. Remember water hydration improves clarity!
?4) Brainstorm options and/or ask a trusted friend, colleague, family member to brainstorm with you. No judgments are allowed. Even if ideas or suggestions seems absurd, keep going allowing creative juices to flow, and enjoy a laugh!
